Shown here are the Locomotive Ready Tracks in East Altoona. Visible on the left is PRR engine #9797, an EF-15A built by EMD in 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. Also visible are other ALCo and EMD locomotives in front of the 17th Street Bridge, as well as the East Altoona Roundhouse and the venerable Water Tower in the distance. |
