Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 16 April 1966. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6080, #6087, and another unit whose road number is not recorded. #6086 and #6087 are EF-30A's built by GM-EMD in March of 1966 and rated at 3,000 horsepower each. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight train through the Tyrone Station on its way to Altoona and points West. Part of the original Station building is visible at the left. |
