Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7960, an N-2SA (2-10-2) "Santa Fe" built by the American Locomotive Company as N-2 number "7557" during March of 1919, renumbered "7960" upon delivery, later rebuilt in Juniata as an N-2SA, and retired in February of 1949 after 30 years of faithful service. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4643, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during October of 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in January of 1942, and retired in May of 1950 after 27 years of faithful service. Note the icicle dangling from the tender's chassis, so it's probably quite frigid in ol' Sunbury! Gary Mittner Collection. |
