Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #5436 was constructed in March of 1927 and retired in November of 1955, while #5419 was built in February of 1927 and retired in March of 1949. Here is the text of an article that was published in the 11 April 1854 issue of the "Lancaster Intelligencer." It recounts an accident which occurred at Plane #10 on the Allegheny Portage Railroad near Duncansville, Pennsylvania ~ not "Hollidaysburg," as cited in the article.
