Extra Board. Here is an original photo that I took at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, in December of 1971. Shown here is the Camden & Amboy's "John Bull." This is the original 2-4-0 wood-burning steam locomotive that was built in England around 1830, disassembled and sent across the Atlantic Ocean on a wood-hulled ship with sails, and then reassembled for revenue service in New Jersey. |
