Shown here is PRR engine #4935, a GG-1 built in Juniata during March of 1943. It has just departed Wilmington on its way South to Baltimore and Washington with an 11-car passenger train. The white milepost indicates that it is 35 miles by rail to Philadelphia. #4935 is now on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is Strasburg, Pennsylvania. |

Old Rivets. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4800 and #4935. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics rated at 4,620 horsepower each, and both are presently on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. #4800 was built by General Electric as number "4899" in August of 1934 and renumbered "4800" in November of 1934. #4935 was built in Juniata in March of 1943.
