Depicted here is PRR engine #5419, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in March of 1949 after 22 years of faithful service. Visible at the right is the Kittanning Point Passenger Station. |

Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Timonium, Maryland, on 9 June 1938. Shown here are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5436 and #5419. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. #5436 was constructed in March of 1927 and retired in November of 1955, while #5419 was built in February of 1927 and retired in March of 1949. On #5436, note the modified cylinders and lack of valve gear. Gary Mittner Collection. |
