Title:
LIRR 38, G-5S, c. 1935
Description:
Weingetz. Here is an original photo by Frederick W. Weingetz, Jr., that was taken in Oyster Bay, New York, c. 1935. Shown here is Long Island Rail Road engine #38, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata expressly for the LIRR during October of 1928. Many thanks to Mr. Robert Hess for identifying this location correctly.
