Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Lyman E. Cox in 1972. Photo by Richard H. Kindig. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4834, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata in July of 1935 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. In this photo taken in Hillside, New Jersey, it's waiting to pick-up a Lehigh Valley Railroad commuter train and pull it to Pennsylvania Station in New York City.
