Here is the second of six original photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's ready tracks in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1953. Shown here are several unidentified diesel-electric and steam locomotives. Prominent among them is PRR engine #5022, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1917 and retired in February of 1958 after 41 years of faithful service.

Both of the locomotives pictured here are Pennsylvania Railroad K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. Top Photo: #5022 was built in May of 1917 and retired in February of 1958. Bottom Photo" #958 was built in June of 1918 and retired in February of 1955. Notable here are two elevation drawings of prototypical tenders assigned to Pennsylvania Railroad K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" steam locomotives.
