Shown here pulling the train is AMTK engine #925, an AEM7 built by GM-EMD in January of 1981 and rated at 7,000 horsepower. In this context, my train is now on Amtrak's tracks leading to Hell Gate Bridge, New York's Pennsylvania Station, and points South. Not shown are Metro North's tracks that veer off to the right and lead to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. This junction is controlled by SHORE Tower (not shown at the far left). |
