John Long and is entitled "The Ankle-View Train." They were published originally in the October 1956 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 21-27. "Pennsy's tubular train, latest of the lightweights, stands only 12 feet high, is engineered for short hauls and a high load factor. Santa Fe's hi-level cars tower 15-1/2 feet, are designed for trans-continental operation. Both are built by Budd. Herewith, 'Trains' gives you a close-up, firsthand report on the high and the low."
