Album Info:Here are ten original photos of Pennsylvania Railroad motive power by Mr. Douglas C. Jones that were taken in and about Orangeville, Maryland, perhaps during 1953. All of these images come from negatives that I purchased in a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Jeffrey K. Frangione during April of 2018.

Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken in Orangeville, Maryland, c. 1953. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3520, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata during 1913 and retired in December of 1957 after 44 years of faithful service.

Description:  Here is an original photo by Douglas C. Jones that was taken in Orangeville, Maryland, c. 1953. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4733, #4706, and #4727. All are P-5A (2-C-2) "Box Cabs" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4733 was built in January of 1933 and retired in March of 1964; #4706 was constructed in October of 1932 and retired in April of 1961; #4727 was built in December of 1932 and retired in March of 1963.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5618, a BS-7 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June of 1950, rated at 750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service. Note the damaged crew cabin; perhaps that's why it's being towed.

All were built by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #9473 is an FP-20A built in June of 1948 and retired in September of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service..
