Album Info:Here is a two page commentary by Mr. David P. Morgan entitled "When We Had It All Together." It was published originally in the October 1979 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 20-21. "No civilian institution outperformed Pennsy in the doing of so much. PRR, in common with the nation, had it all together. Between 1938 and 1944, with virtually the same fixed plant and rolling stock, the carrier doubled its tonnage, hiked ton-miles more than two and a half times, and almost tripled the number of passengers carried."
